Overview
The Omer Marseillaise is the rubber belt for divers who want to buy once and stop thinking about it. The rubber compound is a step up from standard natural rubber: denser, more elastic retention over time, and more resistant to the UV and salt degradation that eventually gets all rubber.
The practical difference against Beuchat and Cressi rubber belts is small, all three are good, but the Omer is the one least likely to feel tired after a couple of seasons of regular use. Spearos who dive from rocky shores should also look at the thicker Rob Allen belt.
The buckle is also the best of the three. It operates with more consistent resistance, making the quick-release action more predictable. Small detail, but in freediving, predictable equipment behavior matters.
