Beginner's Guide to Freediving - Start Here
Freediving is the practice of diving on a single breath. It requires no tanks, no heavy gear, and less equipment than you probably expect. What it does require is proper technique, a trained buddy, and patience with the learning curve. Start here.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
Yes. Comfortable in open water is the baseline. Competitive swimming is not required.
How long until I can hold my breath for 2 minutes?
Most people reach 2 minutes with a few weeks of relaxed, coached breath-hold practice.
Is a certification required?
Not legally, but strongly recommended. A course teaches rescue breathing, buddy technique, and equalization safely.
