The Mares Sealhouette solves a specific problem: it fits wider face profiles reliably when the default low-volume masks don't. If you've tried the Cressi Nano and the Omer Alien and found that the skirt gaps at your cheeks or nose, the Sealhouette is the next mask to try.
Why Face Width Matters
Freediving masks use a silicone skirt that must form a complete seal against your face. The skirt shape varies by design: some are cut narrower for a close, low-profile fit; others are wider to cover more facial geometry.
The Omer Alien skirt is designed for narrow-to-medium faces. The Cressi Nano is slightly wider but still average. The Mares Sealhouette uses a softer, broader skirt profile that accommodates wider cheekbones and rounder face shapes that narrow skirts skip over.
The Volume Trade-Off
