The Omer neck weight is the right product for one specific situation: you want to experiment with neck weighting without spending $55-80 on a premium option before you know if it helps your trim. The Leaderfins neck weight does the same job for a little less money, with a firmer coating.

The rubber coating is durable, the weight stays on your neck for normal diving, and the price removes the barrier to trying it. If you find neck weight helps, and most divers with a trim problem do, you'll have an informed basis for spending more on a Molchanovs or Salvimar.

The hook clasp is the main limitation over the other brands. In an emergency where a buddy needs to drop your weight quickly, a hook clasp requires a different motion than a quick-release buckle. Not a disqualifying issue for recreational use, but worth knowing.
